Sleeping Octopus Assembly on Psychedelics II
On the Forefront of the Psychedelic Renaissance
Sept 28-29, 2019
Hosted at a historic mansion in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, SOAP is a yearly conference exploring the role of psychedelics in science, medicine, policy, and culture, taking place Sept 27th - 29th, 2019.
In partnership with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and the Pittsburgh Psychedelic Society, this year's event will feature conversations with experts from various realms of the psychedelic renaissance, to broaden horizons and inspire guests with the power of these substances to heal lives and communities. A signature feature of the event is its intimacy, providing a conversational setting for attendees to connect with international luminaries in the psychedelic space.
In addition to the diverse presentations, there will be food and craft vendors, healing and wellness practitioners, a visionary art exhibit, and other unique engagements taking place throughout the mansion all weekend. We will also continue our popular and productive tradition of “tentacle” breakout sessions, to organize and equip attendees according to eight avenues of action that advance the responsible use of psychedelics.
On Saturday evening, we will be hosting a night of psychedelic entertainment and live music, featuring interactive engagements throughout the mansion
A limited number of tickets are also available for an immersive, participatory Zendo Project psychedelic harm reduction training, taking place on Friday evening beginning at 6pm. Seats are limited and are not included in the full conference pass.
